Since its opening in January 1926, this all-purpose
arts facility in the heart of the
Buffalo Theater District has seen everything from the
antics of The Marx Brothers and Bob Hope, to The Phantom
of the Opera, The Lion King and Miss Saigon.
The facility attracts some 300,000 patrons annually for its
eclectic combination of Broadway musicals, opera, dance, childrens
programming, concerts and even classic movies.
Run by a not-for-profit association, the space is as architecturally-important
as some of the theater that passes through--with chandeliers
in the Grand Lobby, Mediterranean marble, and Tiffany design.
In 1975, it was placed on the National Register of Historic
Places.
Tickets for Broadway shows range from $15-55, depending on
the event and the evening. Tickets available at box office,
by phoning 716-852-5000, or at all Ticketmaster locations.
